Interagency Recovery Academy is the only public sober high school in Washington and is designed to help teens and young people in recovery from substance use disorder. Students self-elect to attend the school and commit to actively working toward their academic goals in a sober environment. We believe the opposite of addiction is connection and community and that is what we strive to provide for our students. The Interagency Recovery Academy is for high school students in grades 9–12 who are actively working toward their academic, career, and recovery goals. Within a student-centered environment, the program promotes the Four Dimensions of Recovery: Health, Home, Purpose, and Community.
