The Starfish Fund assists uninsured and underinsured community members who come to us for services but are without needed resources for payment.  If you’ve heard about The Starfish legend, it’s all about making a difference.  The story shares how an individual walking along the beach gently picks up starfish and tosses them back into the sea so that they can survive.  A passerby observing this asks the individual how they can possibly make a difference, given the large number of starfish in the same predicament along miles of beach.  The individual responded, “I made a difference for that one.”
