Client Information

If you have Medicaid, Medicare or are uninsured and want to enroll in our services, you can walk into our Bremerton office at 5455 Almira Drive NE from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. First visits may take up to two hours.

If you need accommodations or if you wish to receive services at our South Kitsap office, please talk to the Access Department about your options.

The behavioral healthcare industry, including KMHS, is experiencing staffing shortages. Intakes performed on a walk-in basis are done based on staff availability. While we do our best to perform intakes the day clients walk in, that is not always possible, and there may be wait times.

Your first visit may take up to two hours. During this time you will:

• Meet with a staff member who will gather basic information and work with you to complete necessary paperwork
• Meet with a Mental Health Professional who will discuss your concerns and determine if you meet requirements for our level of care

We may also recommend additional assessments for substance use treatment and psychiatric services.

If your visit is for a child, and you are a parent seeking to enroll them in services, your child must be present during the visit.

If your visit is for a foster child in your care, please call 360-373-5031 in advance to inquire about the enrollment process.

If you are not eligible for our services, our staff may provide you with other local and/or regional referrals and/or information.

Scheduling a next appointment

If you are eligible for our services, we will schedule your first appointment within 14 days of your first visit with us.

What to bring to appointments:

  • Insurance/Medicaid card
  • Photo ID
  • Pertinent mental health and substance abuse records, information regarding previous outpatient or inpatient care, past assessments

If applicable, also bring a copy of any:

  • parenting plan
  • IEP
