Treatment works. Recovery happens.

Life can be tough sometimes. But compassionate, qualified help is nearby — at KMHS.

We provide a full range of mental health treatment services for children, youth, families and adults at every stage of life.  We also provide substance use disorder services.

To get started: If you have Washington Apple Health Insurance and want to enroll in our services, you can walk into our Bremerton office at 5455 Almira Drive NE from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. First visits may take up to two hours.

If you wish to receive services at our South Kitsap office, please talk to the Access Department about your options.

If you need to be seen outside of regular office hours, please inquire at intake or ask our Call Center, 360-373-5031, what other options are available.

If you are a parent hoping to enroll your child in services, your child must be present for the visit.

Contact Us for general information about our services.

If you or someone you know is in a behavioral health crisis, professionals answering the 24/7 Volunteers of America Crisis Call Line at 1-888-910-0416 provide a listening ear and will determine the level of crisis services needed. They will ensure that the help offered is appropriate for the crisis someone is experiencing. Dependent on the level of need, this may include dispatching the KMHS Designated Mobile Crisis Response Team for emergency assessment, including referrals to inpatient care, which may include, if necessary, involuntary detention in our evaluation and treatment center or other psychiatric facility or substance use treatment facility.  DCRs seek to assist people in crisis with the least restrictive services needed to support them in their recovery.

Half of all mental health disorders show first signs before a person turns 14 years old, and three quarters of mental health disorders begin before age 24.
