Support When You Need it Most

Crisis can strike anyone, any time. When it does, Kitsap Mental Health Services is here to help. Working with the Salish Regional Crisis Line, we provide immediate intervention and support for people experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

If you or someone you know is in a behavioral health crisis, call the 24/7  Crisis Call Line at 1-888-910-0416 or text 988. Professionals will assess your needs, resolve the crisis by phone or connect you with services.

Depending on the need, this could include dispatching the KMHS Mobile Crisis Outreach Team for emergency assessment, including referrals to inpatient care. It may also include involuntary detention in our evaluation and treatment center or other psychiatric facility or substance use treatment facility.  Our adult and youth outreach teams help people get through the current crisis and get connected to the services needed to support their recovery.

In addition to inpatient treatment for children and adults, KMHS 24/7 crisis services also include a voluntary short-term (up to 5 day) Crisis Triage Center for adults, and longer-stay mental health and substance use residential treatment services. Our various levels of crisis care may be what you or someone you care about needs.

Half of all mental health disorders show first signs before a person turns 14 years old, and three quarters of mental health disorders begin before age 24.
