Evidence-based medical practice (EBP) is a growing movement within the discipline. Its basic principle is that the best available external clinical evidence based on systematic research is integrated into clinical practice and expertise. Evidence-based medicine can best be described as the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of clients.
Our clients at Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) have access to those Evidence-Based Practices or EBPs. With a vision firmly in place, we at KMHS have built a consensus for change in many of our units and are currently well on our way to being at the cutting-edge in the clinical field.
